Together we have over 100 employees and offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Vancouver.

Our steady growth over the last decade, coupled with our services-enabled-software strategy, sets us up well for our three-year plan to IPO.

It’s an exciting time to join the team and we’re looking for A-Players who want to contribute to and be part of what will be a busy, challenging, rewarding next stage in our evolution.

The Opportunity

With ongoing expansion of our client base and products, we have a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to take on the role of Head of Client Success. This is a full-time position based in our Global Head Office in Brisbane, overseeing our Client Success and Account Management/Product Specialist Teams.

Reporting to our Group CEO, this pivotal position is responsible for:

  1. Retention of our client base – ensuring our clients are satisfied and using the system in the best way for their needs, and effectively articulating our CVP of being the best choice for organisations who genuinely care about recruitment
  2. Revenue growth – supporting our Sales Team in demonstrating the value of our products for new business sales, and upselling additional software modules to current clients

This is an invaluable strategic position that ensures our clients are delighted with their investment in our products. You will play a critical role in planning and executing a strategic pathway to achieve our client growth and retention goals.

In addition to the main focuses above, you’ll also be responsible for:

  • Being an active member of our leadership team;
  • Working alongside our Marketing team to communicate our CVPs and offering out to the market in new and innovative ways;
  • Spearheading competitor research, obtaining and reviewing ongoing customer feedback, and developing a thorough understanding of the market in order to position Scout Talent as a thought leader within the recruitment space;
  • Helping to develop the personal brand of our team of Specialists as experts in recruitment and software;
  • Implementing consistent processes within our Client Success Team to improve efficiencies with implementation, training and helpdesk management; and
  • Strengthening the connection and collaboration between the Client Success and Account Management Teams, identifying crossover and improving how these teams work together to service our clients.

As with all of our Team Leaders, you'll lead by example, spending up to 70% of your time managing your own set of clients, ensuring they renew their subscriptions, and looking for upsell opportunities. You’ll inspire your team members by leading by example and leading from the front. The remainder of your time will be focused on leadership duties such as recruiting for your team, developing your people, and managing and executing the business plan.

Please Note: Regular travel across Australia will be required so that you can visit our offices in Sydney and Melbourne, and meet with our clients across the country.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced leader who is excited at the prospect of bringing two small teams together to achieve improved client retention and significant revenue growth in the coming years.

You will have hands-on, demonstrable experience in a relevant area (or combination of areas), such as HR/recruitment, software/technology, SaaS, account management, and/or client retention.

A strategic mindset and long-term planning approach to solving problems will be essential to your success. You will possess the ability to reflect on past results, draw insights, identify areas of improvement, and leverage other team members throughout the business to better the issue at hand.

As you will be planning and attending industry events, and will be involved in marketing initiatives, it would be ideal if you possess experience with or knowledge of digital, brand or communications marketing. Additionally, any experience within the space of market research or competitor analysis will come in handy.

Communication skills and professional presentation will be crucial as you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders each day, both over the phone and face to face.

Due to the hands-on, fast-paced nature of this position, it is also essential you be skilled in managing competing priorities and effectively organising your time, in order to ensure your ability to remain strategic and not get wrapped up in the day to day.

Importantly, we're after someone who is approaching this opportunity with a long-term mindset. We all love what we do and need team members who are eager to show up and perform each and every day.

The Benefits

If you’re keen for a challenge, want to play a key role in the ongoing growth and success of Scout Talent Group, and are ready to sink your teeth into some great new initiatives, this is the role for you.

You will have access to our Executive Team and be mentored by our CEO who will encourage your opinions and ideas, while giving you the freedom and autonomy to implement the processes and plans you see fit.

You'll be rewarded with a remuneration package made up of an attractive base salary and performance-based incentives (on-target earnings in your first year in the role area $80,000 - $90,000 all inclusive, and we expect our peoples’ earnings to grow year-on-year in line with their performance). You’ll also enjoy ongoing opportunities for paid travel and paid industry conferences.

We value innovation, enthusiasm, ownership, transparency and wellbeing.

Our company culture is really important to us and we celebrate success with regular shout-outs on our internal social network, ringing bells when a new sale comes in, quarterly awards nights/parties, and an annual overseas weekend rewards for our High Achievers (we just returned from a trip to Vegas!). As much as we recognise and reward our people, we also place importance on focus and self-discipline. It's a good balance.

We've achieved over 15 years of profitable growth, and have increased revenue year-on-year. We’re an established and stable brand name with the agility and energy of a start-up atmosphere. As mentioned earlier, we have a three-year plan to IPO. It’s a good time to join.

Interested? Tell us a bit about yourself below and we'll be in touch shortly.
