About the Opportunity

NT PHN has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Procurement Lead to join their team in Darwin. This is a maximum term employment opportunity until 30/06/2020 with extension subject to funding.

On the forefront of the health commission sector, this is an opportunity to make the role your own in the newly established health procurement arena. Responsible for overseeing a small team, this is a fast paced role with high contract output.

As the Procurement Lead, you will oversee the establishment of new contracts and development of ongoing partnerships with health organisations. It will be your responsibility to manage the procurement process from the pre-planning stage, through to scoping and documentation.

This role is responsible for leading all procurement services and requires ongoing collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.

About You

NT PHN is seeking someone with a strong understanding of corporate governance, especially in relation to commissioning of services.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent leadership skills and experience in training a high performing team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time pressures.

Procurement experience and knowledge is a MUST. New systems are currently being developed so your knowledge in this space and relevant systems is important. Although not essential, any experience within the healthcare sector will be highly regarded.
