About the Opportunity
TITAN Strapping Systems now has a fantastic leadership opportunity for a Service Technician to join their team in Adelaide on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Engineering & Service Manager this is a critical role within the organisation that will see you acting as an interface between customers and our client's brand. With the majority of your duties based at client sites, you will troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant and equipment using a methodical approach to Reliability Centred Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance activities.
There is a travel component to this position that will see you on the road and/or or travelling interstate, for approximately 1 week per month. As such, the ability to work flexibly is a requirement of this position.
Some of your day-to-day duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Collect and review performance data against organisational requirements and expectations to maximise the effect of reliability centred maintenance practices on production cycle times, plant uptime, and preventative maintenance tasks;
- Routine monitoring of related pre-requisite systems performance and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Actively contributing to programs to identify and implement cost reductions and process output/efficiency gains; and
- Ensuring the conduct of adequate risk assessments and preventative measures are in place to identify and mitigate safety risks to personnel and plant.
About You
This role would be well-suited to an energetic, personable electrical/mechanical trade person with at least a couple of years demonstrated experience in a service and/or maintenance role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
You will need to hold a current Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification, a current open Driver's Licence, and either hold (or be willing to obtain), a Forklift License.
Importantly, you will have excellent asset management and preventative maintenance planning skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing environments and strong fault finding, analytical and problem-solving skills.
As a customer-facing role you will also need to have good presentation and communication skills, with a strong focus on safety and quality. You will be comfortable working as part of a small team and take a genuine interest and pride in the service that you are delivering to clients.
