About the Opportunity

Nortec IT now has a fantastic, full-time opportunity for an experienced L3 Engineer to act as a Technical Team Leader, based at their office in Castle Hill in Sydney's north-western suburbs.

Reporting to the General Manager and overseeing a team of six L1 and L2 Engineers, this is a busy role that will see you taking day-to-day responsibility for the managed services technical team, encompassing help desk duties, project scoping and the deployment of client projects.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Service ticket triage and resource scheduling, ensure SLA’s are met;
  • Liaising with clients to schedule remote and on-site work, reviewing staff time and performance, ensuring client satisfaction;
  • Client project deployments involving the Microsoft Stack; and
  • Managing client support issues through the Nortec IT ticketing system and RMM tools.

About You

To be considered for this position you must have previous experience working for a managed services provider and solid L3 technical knowledge, with specific industry certifications - MCSE, MCP, VMware, ITIL or equivalent.

You will also need to have technical experience with the following:

  • Windows Server (2019, 2016, 2012 R2, 2008 R2)
  • Microsoft Exchange (2016, 2013, 2010)
  • Hypervisors (HyperV and VMWare)
  • Office 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD)
  • Strong networking skills – Firewalls, UTMs, Routing & Switching, VLANs etc
  • VoIP Systems  
  • Backup Software (Shadow Protect, Veeam, Datto)

You will need to have at least some demonstrated experience in a leadership position and providing technical support to a managed services team. Importantly, you will be a good multi-tasker, have solid problem-solving skills and always be looking for ways that your team can administer innovative solutions for your clients.
