Tender Loving Care Disability Services (TLC) is a registered and certified provider of NDIS services, dedicated to providing people with disabilities reasonable, individualised support services to reduce and eliminate barriers to community access, and encourage the successful achievement of their life goals. With over 20 years of combined experience, the TLC leadership team is passionate about what they do, and have recently expanded their services from New South Wales to South-East Queensland.

TLC tailors their services to the needs of each individual, working with a variety of clients from those who have physical or cognitive disabilities to acquired brain injuries, and ranging from 7 to 64 years of age. They offer a full range of services, with a focus on direct services such as in-home support, life skill development, day programs and supported accommodation. They are passionate about empowering individuals through Person-Centred Planning, to ensure that clients are truly listened to, understood, and kept at the heart of all decision-making.

About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, Tender Loving Care has a fantastic opportunity for an NDIS Intake Coordinator to join the team in Stones Corner.  

Reporting to the QLD State Manager, you will be the first point of contact for NDIS participants and their families/carers, organising and conducting planning meetings and equipping Disability Support Workers with the knowledge, skills and understanding to effectively service their participants.

This is a newly-created role and the responsibilities will vary as the Queensland arm of the business grows. Some of your key duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining safe and professional relationships with clients and supported staff;
  • Rostering workers according to the requests and needs of the participants;
  • Ensuring all workers are properly informed about clients’ needs and daily routines via client inductions;
  • Assisting the QLD State Manager with financial management, including accountability for delivery of participants NDIS budgets and monitoring planning, budgeting or forecasting;
  • Implementing and monitoring NDIS plans, assisting participants identify and achieve goals through strategy development and implementation; and
  • Ensuring the safe, lawful and responsible operation of any Tender Loving Care motor vehicles and equipment.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have prior experience in a rostering or coordination role, and will be a genuinely confident and friendly individual who can demonstrate an interest in and passion for the disability care industry. An understanding of the NDIS would be beneficial.

A Certificate in Community Services Management, Mental Health, or a Disability-related field will be highly regarded, as will candidates with the ability to speak languages other than English.

You will be proficient at using a range of computer software, including Xero and Microsoft Office, and be comfortable working autonomously. You will also have high-level interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and relate to clients, their families, and other stakeholders.

Importantly, you will be flexible and capable of problem-solving as required, including resolving any issues that may arise with a predominantly casual work force, such as short-notice absences.

Please Note: You must have or be willing to obtain a Blue Card, a Yellow Card, and first aid certification with CPR prior to commencement. You will also need a current 'C' class driver's license.
