About the Opportunity
Knauf Australia now has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Management Accountant to join the team at their Matraville office, on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this person will be responsible for the preparation, analysis and distribution of financial data to provide management with timely and accurate reporting of business performance and other key financial and commercial input.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Analysing and interpreting financial results and variances to Budget or Forecast, and identification of key business trends.;
- Participating in the coordination and compilation of monthly reports including internal management reports (Local) and business unit and group management reports;
- Assisting in the preparation of proposals, including analysis, documentation and financial payback;
- Preparing operational P/L, State P/L, regional sales volume, product margin, products' price, customers’ profitability; and
- Driving the forecasting and budget process including seeking information from other areas of the business.

Who is Knauf looking for?
To be successful in this position you will be a fully qualified CPA or CA and have previous experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and internal management reporting. You will also have a strong understanding of finacial accounting and relevant compliance issues.
This is a highly autonomous role that requires a superior communicator with the ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships with all customers, suppliers and other employees.
Importantly, Knauf Australia is seeking a hands-on individual with a strong sense of entrepreneurship, who is willing to roll up their sleeves and jump into any task at hand, as required. You will be driven and highly motivated, with a genuine interest in your own personal growth and the desire to progress your career.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential for this position, and any experience in database management, particularly SQL, will be highly regarded.
