About your new role

Ginko IT is now looking looking for a Level 1/2 Support Technician to join their Northcote team on a full-time basis.

In this role, your main responsibility will be to provide clients with both remote and on-site support.

In addition, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing help desk support;
  • Liaising with clients over the phone, triaging tickets and working tickets;
  • Logging, tracking, and updating customers queries and client documentation;
  • Assisting with projects, upgrading or migrating systems, network and software upgrades;
  • Sales administration, scoping computer hardware and creating basic quotes;
  • Onsite and remote support including some interstate travel; and
  • Building customer relationships through delivering exceptional customer service.

This role will be ideal for an individual who is looking to grow their technical skills and gain accreditation, with the potential to move into a Level 3 position in the future.

What you will need to be successful

To be successful in this role, candidates will need to have demonstrated experience in a similar position and excellent technical capabilities

You will also need to have:

  • A good understanding of networking;
  • An understanding of Microsoft technologies, with accreditation highly regarded;
  • Office 365 administration experience;
  • Understanding of desktop and Windows Server design, implementation and issues; and
  • Office 365 and Sharepoint experience.

In addition, you will be a self-motivated individual who can work both as part of a team and in an autonomous capacity. A strong client service ethic, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and professionalism are essential to this role; as are efficient time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Please note: Candidates will need to hold a current unrestricted driver's licence.
