About the Opportunity

Knauf Australia now has an opportunity for a full-time Warehouse Operator to join their team in Townsville, QLD.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position will see you responsible for coordinating the efficient and effective loading of local trucks, customer pickups, and deliveries. You will also ensure all activities are undertaken in a safe and professional manner, and will maintain Knauf's commitment to providing its customers with a high standard of customer service and quality products.

More specifically, your day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Picking and packing customer orders;
  • Liaising with customers and/or Truck Drivers on weights and any special loading requirements;
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly;
  • Ensuring all products loaded are correctly packed limiting any damage in transit;
  • Delivering and unloading customer orders by hand (heavy lifting may be required);
  • Assisting in stocktakes as required; and
  • Ensuring all work is performed in a manner which demonstrates a commitment to Knauf values.

About You

To be successful in this position you will have previous experience in a similar position, with a strong understanding and working knowledge of warehouse operations, including transportation and freight. Knauf is looking for candidates who are able to work within a small team environment as well as operating autonomously.

You will need to hold a current C Class Drivers License, and a Forklift License AND either hold, or be willing to obtain an MR License within your first couple of months of employment.

Additionally, it is important you be a hard-working team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to promote health and safety practices among coworkers.
