About the Opportunity

inTouch now has an unique opportunity for a driven Chief Operating Officer to join their innovative organisation on a full-time basis in Richmond, VIC. This is an exciting role in which you have the opportunity to shape the role and make it your own; bring your financial and technical skills to support the organisation and cultivate growth. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for operational excellence - overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions, the development of inTouch's financial management strategy, streamlining processes and contribute to the development of the organisation's strategic goals. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Planning, coordinating and executing the annual budget process;
  • Improving administrative and operational accounting services including grant payment processing, payroll, accounts payable and purchasing;
  • Leading highly skilled staff using a supportive and collaborative approach;
  • Establishing and overseeing an organisational development program that fosters an environment collaboration and continuous learning;
  • Building a safe work environment and compliance with inTouch policies and legislation; and
  • Promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning.

Please note: the successful candidate will be required to work from inTouch’s Dandenong office on occasion

About You

To be considered for this position, you will be a fully qualified CPA or have extensive financial accumen and you will have significant experience in a senior management role.

The successful candidate will have experience working with financial and accounting regulations specific to the not for profit sector. Ideally, you will have experience as a senior employee or board member of a not-for-profit organisation. 

You will have excellent judgment and a creative approach to problem solving with skills in negotiation and conflict resolution processes.Candidates that have experience working in a multicultural setting and are bilingual will be highly regarded. 

You will be adaptable and able able to work autonomously on a variety of tasks and projects, effectively managing competing deadlines whilst staying flexible enough to deal with urgent situations as required. 

In addition to the above, you will also need to be a friendly and personable individual with highly developed communication skills. You will be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and have demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills. 

Prior to commencement, the successful candidates will hold (or willing to obtain) the following:

  • A current Victorian Driver's License;
  • A current Working With Children's' Check; and
  • A current National Criminal History Record Check.
