About the Opportunities

Kingsley College is now accepting application for a Middle School/Distance Education Teacher to join their team.

This Middle School position will teach classes in Junior Secondary Maths, Humanities and other subjects on campus and via distance education as well as Year 5-6 English, Maths, Science, Humanities and other subjects via distance education.

Reporting to the School Principal, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

  • Effectively organising your classes, and maintaining quality care and discipline of students;
  • Maintaining a high standard of work amongst students;
  • Evaluating and assessing each child’s progress, and reporting to parents verbally and in written form;
  • Knowing, planning, programming and teaching the school’s curriculum at the appropriate standards for that class;
  • Involving parents in the school program;
  • Attending staff meetings, parent / teacher meetings, interviews, worship and staff devotions;
  • Attending In-service Courses and Out of Hours School Functions as required by the College;
  • Carrying out playground duties as rostered, and reporting areas of maintenance needs to the office; 
  • Submitting classroom budgetary requests to the Principal when needed; and
  • Preparing online learning material.

About You

To be considered for any of these roles you must be a qualified Teacher with QLD Teacher Registration (or ability to obtain), and the ability to implement the school’s Christian values and philosophy in the classroom and other aspects of College life, to foster faith and deliver significant educational outcomes for students.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to utilise a variety of teaching resources to plan interesting units of study across subject areas, and will be competent in the use of technology within the classroom including relevant computer programs.
