About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an inspired and resilient Christian educator to join our well-established and growing school community in 2020. We are seeking an experienced Geography ATAR and HASS Teacher to work full-time within a collaborative and friendly team, and to provide teaching and associated pastoral care duties in and out of the classroom. The successful applicant will report to the Secondary Principal at Kenwick, teaching Geography across Years 10-12, including ATAR level units as well as HASS across Years 7-8. 

The following criteria are essential for the role – please see the position description for the selection criteria that applicants are asked to respond to:

  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective organisational and management skills, and competent use of ICT.
  • Interest in implementing innovative teaching and learning principles in the classroom.
  • Relevant curriculum development, planning, and implementation experience with ATAR Geography, and Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Appropriate teaching qualifications, including TRB registration and Working with Children Check.
  • Be a practicing Christian and actively involved in a local Protestant Christian Church.
  • Be able to demonstrate an exemplary Christian lifestyle.
  • Must be willing to obtain or hold a Police Clearance Check that is no more than three months old.
