The Opportunity

Mansfield Crushing now has an opportunity for an experienced Production Excavator Operator to join their growing team in Melbourne’s west, on the outskirts of Geelong.

This role is being offered on a full-time basis, 52.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, with some overtime hours on Saturdays as required.

As a Production Excavator Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of Mansfield Crushing plants.

Typical duties include:

  • Loading haul trucks to ensure material levels are maintained at the crushing plants;
  • Operating machinery efficiently, safely and competently to ensure maximum output;
  • Conducting daily plant pre-start checks and perform plant preventative  maintenance tasks;
  • Ensuring plant is kept and maintained to the highest of standards; and
  • Maintaining a safety focus at all times.

To be considered for this position you will have advanced operator skills and experience operating large excavators, ideally gained in the quarry/mining industry with a strong understanding of production flow and efficiency. Additionally, you will have significant demonstrated experience in working high walls and double benching.
