About the Opportunity
Due to an exciting growth period, TITAN now has a rewarding opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Adelaide, on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, with secondary to the Managing Director, this brand new position will see you providing mechanical design support, customer liaison, project installations, layout and construction of strapping systems and project support to the German and Australian TITAN businesses.
Day-to-day duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Construction of strapping machines;
- Adaptation of aggregates and accessories;
- Creating manufacturing drawings;
- Creating BOMs;
- Creating operating instructions in accordance with the Machinery Directive;
- Creating risk assessments;
- Creating assembly and repair instructions;
- Construction of test facilities;
- Creating tests and test instructions; and
- Commissioning of machines and plants.
About You
To be considered for this position you will hold tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within the packaging, FMCG or similar industries. As well as this, you must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of SolidWorks or a similar CAD system.
There is a high level of customer liaison in this role and as such, it is critical that you are a confident people person with strong communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders. An analytical thinker, you will have a flexible approach to your work and the ability to troubleshoot problems and adapt to constantly changing situations.
Additionally, TITAN is looking for someone who is innovative with a genuine interest and commitment to making this role their own. You will bring a ‘can-do’ attitude, a variety of experience and motivation and an ability to cultivate innovation to this exciting opportunity.
