About the Opportunity
Knauf Australia is now seeking a full-time Distribution Operator to join their team in Altona, VIC.
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will be primarily responsible for loading and unloading trucks and general housekeeping duties in the warehouse.
You will be operating between 2.5 and 8 tonne forklifts to load and unload construction materials in the warehouse.
In order to be successful you must have a background in a warehousing or high volume distribution environment. You will also need experience operating a 7 and 8 tonne forklift to handle plasterboard or other construction materials.
This pivotal position requires a superior communicator with a passion for, and commitment to, continuous improvement. Your time management skills especially in regards to drivers is integral in this role.
Safety is paramount for Knauf and it is expected that you will abide by these standards and keep them at the forefront of all your work.
