About the Opportunity

Due to ongoing growth, Therapy Pro now has multiple opportunities for passionate and experienced Psychologists to join their team across Brisbane (South), Melbourne, Moreton Bay, Mackay and the Sunshine Coast for immediate start on a full-time basis, with flexibility for part-time hours for the right applicants. You will be working from home between the hours of 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with regular daytime travel to clients.

In these roles you will primarily be responsible for providing a wide range of psychology services to both children and adults with a variety of needs.

Additional day-to-day duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Advising and collaborating with clients in regards to impairment due to illness, injury, disability or ageing;
  • Assessing the cognitive, behavioural and emotional needs of clients utilising a range of techniques/tools;
  • Designing client centric intervention plans, including cognitive behaviour therapy, that are holistic, practical and outcomes driven;
  • Working collaboratively with clients, their families/support networks, and at times other allied health professionals to deliver evidence based behavioural and therapeutic intervention;
  • Developing productive working relationships with clients and a range of key stakeholders; and
  • Managing a diverse caseload, working autonomously to prioritise needs and completing client records.

About You

To be considered for this role you must hold tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Behavioural Science as well as current AHPRA registration and demonstrable working experience. Therapy Pro are also interested in hearing from provisionally qualified Psychologists with significant NDIS sector experience.

You will be an independent and autonomous professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage your own caseload. While you will have the support of the team across the region, you must be comfortable operating and making clinical decisions on your own.

Furthermore, as a highly adaptable individual, you will be able to effectively work with a variety of clients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds with varying levels of english proficiency and complexity of needs.

Your well-developed interpersonal communication and negotiation skills will be crucial to your success in the role, as will your ability to build trust, rapport and strong relationships with your clients, their families and the community. Ideally, you will be comfortable using technology and online tools for reporting, communication and collaboration. 

Please note: Before commencing employment you must hold a current Working With Children's Check, NDIS prescribed notice (yellow card), a current National Police Check. Regular daytime travel is a requirement of the role - candidates must have a full, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence with reliable access to a registered, fully insured vehicle.
