About the Opportunity 

North Coast Primary Health Network now has a newly created opportunity for a Health Service Planning Manager to join their team full-time working across the North Coast Offices. You will be ideally based at the Ballina office, however, there is the option to be based in one of our other locations including Tweed Heads, Coffs Harbour, Lismore and Port Macquarie.

Reporting to the Director Commissioning, this role will see you develop and optimise planning processes to meet service and timeliness objectives. The candidate will oversee a variety of different Directorates within the organisation to ensure that the overall planning and performance process runs smoothly. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Acting as a primary organisational resource to guide Executive and teams through strategic planning;
  • Guiding processes to ensure that strategies, measures and targets are developed and addressed;
  • Coordinating the delivery of external reports;
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of reporting processes related to KPIs; and
  • Collaborating with partner organisations to optimise the collection, analysis and presentation and socio-demographic information.

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role. Ideally, you will have experience in health planning or come from a planning background in another industry.

Relevant qualifications in social science, public health, epidemiology or a related field are a requirement for this role. Post- graduate qualifications would be highly desirable.

You will be an adaptable, team player with a high attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously. You will be able to plan and prioritise your tasks while applying lateral thinking to develop innovative solutions.

As you will be developing these processes from conception, it is important that you have a firm understanding of developing frameworks and planning processes.

A current driver's licence and use of a personal vehicle is required to complete the duties of this position, with work-related mileage reimbursed.
