About the Opportunity

Chinchilla Christian College currently has an opportunity for a Secondary Maths Teacher to join their team in Chinchilla, QLD on a full-time basis, with the position expected to commence at the start of term three, 13 July 2020.

Reporting to the Head of Secondary, this role will see you responsible for teaching mathematics to a combination of Year 7-12 classes, helping them prepare for life and educating them for eternity

Additional duties of the role include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring conformance to Christian Community Ministries values and policies in relation to health and safety;
  • Integrating the Christian faith into learning and practice;
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with all coworkers;
  • Liaising with external stakeholders to cater for the holistic needs of students;
  • Creating engaging, innovative and positive classroom environments;
  • Utilising technology in lesson preparation, teaching, reporting and knowledge sharing; and 
  • Supporting the behaviour management of students.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must be registered or eligible to register with the Queensland College of Teachers and ideally, hold a Bachelor of Education. Chinchilla Christian College also welcomes new graduates committed to upholding the Christian values of the school to apply.

Your organisational skills and ability to prioritise, meet schedules and deadlines will be an asset to this role. With strong interpersonal skills, you will contribute positively to CCC's family environment, creating effective relationships with all coworkers, students and wider stakeholders.

As a strong communicator and caring leader, you will be confident in managing student behaviour and will help to assist them in their pastoral area of education where required. Above all, you will see the value in making maths come alive for students and engage them to reach their potential!
