Based in Victoria, Septic Systems Australia (SSA)'s core business is the design, installation, servicing and repairs of residential and commercial septic systems. The organisation handles everything from the permit application, to installation, servicing and emergency repairs, and continues to grow off the back of its excellent customer relationships within this niche area.
Septic Systems Australia’s team have virtually every credential you could ever want in a wastewater team. From qualified plumbers and electricians, their team is certified for the installation, service and maintenance of all types of septic systems, as well as WPCG and Confined Space works.
About the Opportunity
Septic Systems Australia is now looking for a full-time Administration Assistant to join the team in their Kilsyth, Melbourne office.
Working across both SSA and their sister company, Harmor Services, you will be responsible for a wide range of administration and general office management tasks, responding to incoming calls or emails and helping with non-technical enquiries.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Data entry/records management;
- Monitoring and ordering office supplies;
- Providing basic quotes (from an established price list);
- Sending contracts and service agreements;
- Lodging and following up on council permits;
- Reporting on service contracts; and
- Debtor management.
SSA is looking for someone with at least 3 years of demonstrated administration experience, ideally in a plumbing, trade, or services related role, although this is not essential. Any experience in a sales support role would also be highly regarded.
You will be highly organised and capable of juggling multiple competing priorities, able to complete regular, recurring tasks whilst handling incoming work and prioritising this effectively.
Working across multiple teams and 2 businesses, you'll be keen to help out wherever needed, bringing genuine positivity and energy to the rest of your close-knit team. You'll also be comfortable working autonomously, making decisions and dealing with ambiguity, but not afraid to ask questions where needed.
You will need strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to provide friendly and timely responses to enquiries and confident in your ability to handle occasionally difficult conversations with clients, assertive whilst staying calm and respectful.
Finally, you'll have strong computer skills, with demonstrated experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, and be capable of quickly learning other relevant software, although existing experience with a CRM Database would be highly regarded.
