About the Opportunity

Due to ongoing demand, RKF ES now has a full-time opportunity based in Mackay for a Site Engineer. This role will initially be offered on a 12-month contractual basis, with the possibility for extension.

As part of the RKF ES Team, you will be fully supported in this role as you work on-site to deliver a range of condition/visual inspections and assessments on port infrastructure.

On a day-to-day basis your duties will include (but will not be limited to):

• Undertaking visual inspections and generating relevant reports;
• Preparing scope of works and contract documentation;
• Engaging and working collaboratively with maintenance staff on-site;
• Undertaking construction site technical supervision; and
• Completing a range of other duties as advised by the supervisor.

Please Note: As a response to COVID-19 imposed health and safety policies and guidelines, applicants will be required to undergo a medical screening and health assessment prior to commencing employment.

About You

To be considered for this position you will need to hold tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering, with several years of demonstrable experience in a similar site maintenance-based role.

More specifically, as an experienced engineer, you must be comfortable conducting site investigations, condition assessments and writing technical reports.

You will also need to have previous experience working on infrastructure projects in either the mining or ports sectors.

Your attention to detail, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and sense of pride in your work will help ensure your success, as you will be working both autonomously and as part of a small team with support from other offices.

Please note: If successful, you must be willing to travel to the Brisbane office to undertake training/induction before commencing on-site.
