About the Opportunity

The Henley currently has a rewarding opportunity for a Home Care Nurse Manager to join their team in Southport on a full-time basis.

Working alongside the General Manager, you will be leading the execution and delivery of The Henley's care business strategy, as they transition management of the care team to an in-house model, from an external services provider. A unique role, you'll be managing a team of carers and nurses providing in-home support to individuals within the resort, with their services closer to the Home Care model, rather than typical Residential Care.

You'll be leading by example, focused on quality, efficiency, productivity, and above all, an exceptional customer experience for the approximately 45 residents receiving care at the resort by:

  • Supporting, developing and monitoring your team, holding people accountable whilst recognising and celebrating success;
  • Developing a business plan, analysing and tracking revenue growth, and managing operational budgets, expenditure and controllable costs;
  • Ensuring all policies, procedures and legislative requirements are understood and followed, monitoring compliance and ensuring accountability for all staff members;
  • Managing the recruitment, retention, and career progression of the clinical services team; and
  • Acting as the first point of resolution for risk incidents, investigating and successfully resolving disputes or complaints in a timely manner.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be a fully qualified, AHPRA-recognised Registered Nurse with a background in the Home Care sector and demonstrated experience in Home Care Package management. Residential aged care sector experience would also be an advantage.

With demonstrated management skills, you'll be comfortable completing employment reviews and coaching your staff, with a hands-on approach to supporting the front-line team, which includes both Registered Nurses and Personal Care staff.

You'll have strong computer literacy, with extensive experience in Microsoft Office and electronic data management systems. Analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and prepare reports using clear, concise language will be vital.

Highly organised, you'll be able to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines whilst ensuring discretion and integrity at all times. You'll also need a well-developed understanding of, and commitment to, continuous quality improvement and organisational change, with a background in client/case management, quality management, incident management and resolution.

Crucially, you will have a genuine desire to engage and build relationships with residents, ensuring they are given the best possible care according to their individual needs. "Choice and Control" is a key part of The Henley's business model, and you'll understand the importance of allowing residents to make informed decisions and their own choices, mitigating risk without being overprotective.

About the Benefits

This is a unique opportunity to join a luxury retirement resort and provide a level of care and support that's above and beyond the industry standard. The facilities at The Henley are truly world-class, a far cry from the typically clinical spaces seen in traditional aged care, alongside stunning views thanks to the truly fantastic location.

The Henley is offering the successful candidate an attractive remuneration package circa $105,000 - $120,000 plus super, negotiable based on your skills and experience.

You'll be part of a welcoming and genuinely passionate team, becoming part of a community that values and supports each individual, whether they're a resident or staff member.
