About the Organisation

Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region.

Covering a wide array of services such as clinical care, social and emotional well being, health promotions, sports and active lifestyle, and administrative services, they have a holistic approach to health, ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.

About the Opportunity 

Anyinginyi are now seeking a Grants Officer to join their team in Tennant Creek, NT on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Grants Coordinator, you will be primarily responsible for enabling the organisation to consistently meet the funding terms and conditions of grant submissions, grant monitoring and reporting compliance processes.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Liaising with Section Managers, agency subscriptions and contacts to proactively monitor online grant sites to identify grant funding opportunities;
  • Assisting the Grants Coordinator to monitor National, Territory or local funding influences and/or program changes in the Aboriginal primary health care sector and related programs relevant to the Anyinginyi service environment;
  • Developing approved draft proposals and concepts into grant funding applications in collaboration with the Grants Coordinator and the responsible Section manager;
  • Providing Grants inductions to new Section Managers and annual information sharing sessions to respective Anyinginyi employees in grants development, compliance and reporting requirements; and
  • Liaising and maintaining productive relationships with Funding Providers and internally with Section Managers.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need strong administrative skills with a solid understanding of grants and the link between government bodies and funding.

You'll have an aptitude for numbers with any financial experience highly regarded. Your effective writing abilities and strong communication skills will also be essential to your success in the role.

Importantly, you must be respectful of traditional Aboriginal culture, embrace cultural diversity and be comfortable communicating sensitively with Aboriginal and culturally diverse groups.

Experience living or working in a remote environment would be great advantage but is not essential, provided you are aware of the various challenges that are associated with such an environment.

Please note: You will need to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain a valid Ochre Card prior to commencement. A current Australian driver's licence is also essential.
