About the role(s)

In the midst of a huge growth period, Jet Aviation (Cairns facility) is now looking to expand their team, with multiple opportunities for B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAME), Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) and Aircraft Structures Engineers to join their facility in Cairns, QLD. With a primary focus on servicing major Regional Airlines in Australia the Cairns operations has expanded quickly and requires skilled engineers to grow with us.

Working on both light and heavy aircraft maintenance, in a large purpose-built hangar, you'll need the experience or qualifications necessary for:

  • Fokker 70/100 (RRD Tay);

  • Bombardier DHC-8-400 (PWC PW150); 

  • ATR 42-400/500/72-212A (PWC PW120);

  • Bombardier DHC-8-100/200/300 (PWC PW120); and

  • Saab (SF) 340 (GE CT7). 

You will need a broad knowledge of aircraft maintenance and experience working in an aircraft maintenance facility.

Project management experience would be a bonus, but not essential provided you can demonstrate an excellent customer focus and a strong understanding of aviation regulations and industry requirements for aircraft maintenance.

Your hard work will be rewarded with a wage rate dictated by your qualifications and the role, with the AME position ranging from $60,000 - $67,000 and the LAME position starting from $66,000 - $90,000 plus allowances based on your experience and licenses.

If you're working outside regular hours, you'll have access to additional allowances/penalty rates, including 15% morning/afternoon loading and time and a half for weekend work. There is also a large amount of over-time available for those who want to pick up additional hours over the standard 38 hour week. 

Relocation packages are negotiable for candidates across Australia and New Zealand.

These roles would cover a variety of rosters, with the majority from Monday to Friday plus occasional weekend rosters.
