Carlingford Kindergarten is a boutique, family-owned and operated early education centre in Carlingford, NSW that has been providing quality childcare and early learning services to the community since 1992.
As a small centre with 29 places, Carlingford Kindergarten prides itself on its ability to operate as an "extended family" and provide a home away from home for the children in our care. About the Opportunity
Carlingford Kindergarten now have an exciting opportunity for a Childcare Educator to join their team in Carlingford, NSW on a full-time ongoing basis. Reporting to the ECT Director, you will primarily be responsible for providing high quality education to all children in the centre's care.
More specifically, your day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Implementing the Early Years Learning Framework for individual children;
- Setting goals for children and documenting observations on their learning;
- Actively contributing to program planning and team skill development; and
- Liaising and maintaining positive relationships with families and other key stakeholders.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must be a diploma-qualified childcare educator with a minimum of 2 years relevant working experience.
You must have a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS) assessment and rating (A&R) and Reggio Emilia Philosophy, and be able to implement these consistently throughout your work.
Your experience should include exposure to play-based learning and, whilst not essential, we would love to hear about any unique talents or skills that you could bring to the role, such as music, visual art or a language other than English.
Importantly, you must be a strong communicator with excellent verbal, written and digital literacy skills, who is able to build and maintain positive relationships with families, children, colleagues and the wider community. You will need to be a team player who is able to display compassion whilst remaining assertive when necessary and upholding the highest standard of professionalism at all times.
Please note: You will need to hold a current Working with Children Check as well as First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates prior to commencing employment.
