About the Opportunity

 

Arrow Energy is seeking a Lead Planner to join its team, working from the Brisbane CBD.

 

The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate Arrow Energy's enterprise project planning process to proactively manage, analyse and coordinate project development planning activities required for delivery of Arrow Energy's expansion and in field development activities.

 

Reporting to the Operations Planning Manager, key duties of the role will include:

 

  • Coordinating the Enterprise Project Planning function, which includes:
    • Coordinating overall planning and scheduling activities for Arrow's project developments
    • Developing detailed project plans and monitoring project schedules, milestones and completion timetables
    • Ensuring that execution plans and schedules are prepared by various departments to ensure all groups have undertaken sufficient planning to achieve developments
    • Monitoring progress and coordinating updates of actual against plan, and scope changes
    • Producing status reports and management reports
    • Identifying improvement opportunities through analysis of data
    • Proactively negotiating deadline and resource levelling issues
    • Continuously developing, maintaining and maximising the utility of Arrow's Prima Vera 6 Enterprise Project Planning tool
  • Facilitating communication and coordination of activities between a multi-disciplined team of professionals and other stakeholders involved in project development; and
  • Being involved in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic budget reviews in conjunction with Asset Management, Project Development and Finance teams.

 

Arrow is seeking an applicant with experience in project and/or program planning systems, methodology and processes who is competent in Prima Vera 6 and SQL software packages.

 

Exposure to project development in the upstream oil and gas industry will be highly regarded, but is not essential. Similarly, qualifications in project planning, business administration, project management or construction management would be advantageous, but are not critical to success in this position.

 

Candidates will need to have a flexible approach to work, be able to work both independently and as a team player, and have a high level of professionalism, interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail, organisation skills and the ability to coordinate a team are also important skills for this position.
