About the Opportunity
Glenview is growing their team, and is therefore seeking Lifestyle Workers for their Glenorchy operations. Full time, part time and casual/relief positions are available.
This varied position is directly responsible to the Director of Client Services, in collaboration with the nurse in charge, and the successful candidates will provide personal care services and assist in planning and providing a creative range of activities to enhance the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of clients.
Some of your more specific day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Planning, developing and delivering innovative lifestyle experiences for clients;
- Evaluating, monitoring and undertaking a program of continuous improvement of all lifestyle issues at Glenview;
- Providing relevant and timely advice to the nurses on all client care requirements;
- Undertaking hands-on care related tasks under the supervision of the nurses;
- Attending and contributing to family conferences upon request, and working collaboratively with clients and their families;
- Assisting in the transportation of clients to arranged appointments and the appropriate utilisation of volunteer input;
- Assisting with the induction and orientation of new staff and volunteers to the Lifestyle team; and
- Assisting in collection, collation and analysis of client-related data.
Glenview is seeking candidates with appropriate qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent) and skills/experience in client-directed case management.
You will require well-developed communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Glenview is seeking candidates who can provide a National Police Certificate and who are computer-literate.
