About the Opportunity
ABnote has a great opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their team in Ingleburn.
This varied role will be responsible for controlling and coordinating warehouse activities to ensure the efficient and economical use of resources and facilities for the receival, dispatch, storage and distribution of goods.
More specifically, some of the your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and direction to a team of warehouse staff;
- Assessing team members verses warehouse and operational needs, identifying and organising training to close any gaps;
- Developing, implementing and ensuring staff adherence to processes that are aligned with ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditation, as well as ABnote security requirements;
- Modelling and enforcing housekeeping principals to ensure a clean, orderly, efficient, well-presented and safe warehouse environment;
- Ensuring the alignment of physical and logical inventory (stock accuracy) through proven and robust inventory control processes;
- Developing processes which utilise the software of freight providers to minimise the manual steps required to generate consignments and reduce the opportunities for error; and
- Participating in a hands-on manner in the warehouse when required (Receiving and dispatching goods, loading and unloading trucks, managing stock, disposing of waste from the production areas).
To succeed in this role, you will have a strong background in leadership within the warehousing industry, and an in-depth understanding of stores and distribution processes and procedures. The company is looking for someone with good computer skills, specifically in programs such as ABnote's ERP Systems - Manage 2000 and AX - and the Microsoft Office Suite.
You will have a focus on occupational health and safety, and a keen understanding of safe working practices, as well as the ability to use the 3rd party freight applications.
Importantly, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to work effectively in a team, liaise with people from all levels of the business, and prioritise, allocate, or delegate tasks. You will be highly motivated with a focus on continuous improvement.
