About Roma
Roma, the 'Energy of the West' is a vibrant and thriving country town. Located about 480km from Brisbane, Roma is the largest regional centre in South West Queensland with an estimated population of 6,700.
Although more formally recognised as a pastoral and agricultural district, Roma was the very first site where oil and gas were discovered in Australia and is an appropriate location for the well known Big Rig oil and gas museum. About the Opportunity
United Discount Chemists has an exciting opportunity available for a Pharmacist to join its expanding team. This is a full-time position; however there may be the opportunity to negotiate work on a contractual basis for a suitable applicant.
The role will be responsible for dispensing medicines, assisting with maximising sales for the pharmacy, and overseeing the dispensing assistants.
Some of the more specific duties will include:
- Providing one on one customer counseling/advice;
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships;
- Maintaining operational standards and business efficiencies;
- People development and management;
- Quality Care procedures; and
- Stock control
Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree, current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Queensland and current Pharmacists Indemnity Insurance. Pharmacy industry experience is essential to be considered.
United Discount Chemists is seeking individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who understand the importance of exceeding customer service expectations and have the ability to prioritise and manage workloads. A degree of computer literacy and a manual driver's licence will also be required.
Applicants who are comfortable living in a rural community will be best suited to these roles.
Working an average 40 hours per week, candidates will receive an attractive hourly rate (negotiable with qualifications and experience) PLUS a penalty rate when you work on Saturday/Sunday and Public Holidays, as the business dictates.
In addition to this, successful candidates will be provided with shared accommodation!
