About the Organisation
Life Without Barriers (LWB) is a national not-for-profit organisation working to support children and young people in crisis, people with a disability and those with a mental health issue. The organisation is a leading provider of care in Australia and is renowned for its flexibility, innovation and strong community focus.
Since inception in 1995, LWB has expanded into every Australian State and Territory, and has experienced rapid growth and a dramatic increase in demand for services.
As part of a continuous improvement strategy, the organisation is developing new ways of assessing and managing the delivery of services.
This involves the creation of a series of specialised programs to target areas of growth and development. These programs are designed to relate directly to an individual's case plan and to assist them in achieving their goals.
Disability Support Workers are the heart of LWB and are central to the success of the support the organisation gives clients. LWB Disability Support Workers come from a range of backgrounds and can provide a care in a variety of ways. LWB is committed to providing 24-hour support for Disability Support Workers and helping ensure they create a safe, caring environment for the person they are caring for.
