About the Opportunity
Due to expansion of services, Project Services has an opportunity for a number of Building Project Managers to join their Queensland team.
The primary purpose of the position will be to manage the performance of multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of a range of medium to large and complex building projects and to liaise with senior departmental and client representatives concerning matters associated with service delivery to the client.
To be suitable for these roles, the successful candidates must possess a relevant building related qualification at degree level from a recognised tertiary institution, and relevant building experience.
These positions report to a Principal Project Manager on the performance and status of projects. A number of Project Managers may report to the position on specific project related matters and issues.
Some of the more specific main responsibilities of these roles include:
- Coordinating and managing building projects including predesign, design, documentation, contract administration and post occupancy evaluation activities;
- Liaising with Departmental and Client representatives concerning matters associated with service delivery to the Client;
- Coordinating the activities of other Portfolio project staff, external consultants, building contractors, managers and other Business Units in the achievement of project procurement; and
- Ensuring that performance targets of time, cost and quality are consistently achieved for projects under its management.
The successful candidates will enjoy extremely attractive remuneration, circa $97.7K to $114.4K, including 12.75% super, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
