About the Opportunity
Polymetals has set an aggressive growth strategy and requires an experienced Group Geologist, with strong exploration expertise, to join the team.
The Group Geologist provides strategic and technical advice, analysis and options in support of the achievement of Polymetals goals.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the scope of the Group Geologists role is to:
- Review, refine and deliver the Group's exploration strategy;
- Direct group exploration activities;
- Provide technical input in evaluation of new projects;
- Provide geological advice to operations and new projects, and
- Ensure statutory compliance for exploration activities.
The successful applicant will:
- Have experience in GIS, Geological resource modelling and data base applications;
- Have experience in exploration and execution of related plans;
- Have the ability and desire to work in a small organisation;
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders; and
- Be able to accept a high level of responsibility and accountability.
The successful applicant for the role will have previous experience in a similar senior role. Experience in gold and base metals exploration and production are highly desirable. Experience in mine geology at an operational level is also highly desirable. Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential.
