About the Opportunity

Omega Service Solutions has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Supervisor to join its team in Sydney.

Reporting to the GM, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for the supervision of all Project Team technicians and apprentices. You will also be responsible for the daily coordination of inventory and vehicle maintenance.

Some of your more specific duties will include:

  • Interacting daily with the Sales Supervisor to ensure all jobs that require project support are scheduled with consideration given to customer requirements and company cost objectives;
  • Supervising the Project Team to ensure all projects won by the sales team are completed in accordance with customer agreements and within budgeted cost targets;
  • Supervising apprentices to ensure they are developing skills in line with the TAFE courses they are undertaking;
  • Working with Dispatch daily (including office time in the morning and afternoon) to schedule Project Team members to all required jobs;
  • Managing the purchase and consumption of stock and run stock takes as necessary;
  • Managing all company equipment including necessary maintenance of jetters, cameras and locators; and
  • Ensuring all Project Team members adhere to all company OHS policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have Plumbing qualifications and relevant industry experience.  Basic electrical knowledge and small project management experience is beneficial.

You will need sound knowledge of the OHS requirements of NSW, and basic computer literacy including familiarity with Microsoft Office. The successful applicant will have well developed organisational and communication abilities, and be self-motivated, with the persistence to see projects through from start to completion.

Most importantly, you will be an enthusiastic 'go getter' with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment. Due to the nature of the role, you will be well-presented and have fantastic interpersonal skills, as you interact with clients from all walks of life.

You will work a regular 40 hour week, plus reasonable hours to satisfy the requirements of the position.
