About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking a full-time Senior Medical Typist to join their Taringa team in the Histology Department.
Working a regular day shift, the aim of the Senior Medical Typist will be typing medical reports.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role will be to:
- Generate medical reports;
- Uphold quality standards within the laboratory by adhering to departmental quality system procedures;
- Comply with OH&S policies and programs;
- Satisfy the requirements of both internal and external customers;
- Participate in in-service training and train other staff as required; and
- Perform special duties as required to contribute to the implementation of the strategic plan and effective functioning of the organisation as a whole.
The successful applicant will have a good working knowledge of medical terminology, along with highly-developed communication skills. A sense of enthusiasm and flexibility in the workplace is essential, along with a typing speed of least 80 words per minute. Experience in histological office procedures will also be held in high regard.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a rostered shift within the histology office operating hours of 6:00 am to 2.00pm.
The organisation's Taringa premises offer easy access to car parking, public transport and a Security Guard after hours.
