About the Opportunity
Are you interested in using your marketing expertise to take on an exciting new challenge? Intrepid Retail has a fantastic opportunity for a National Marketing Manager to lead the strategic marketing direction of the brand.
The role will be based in Melbourne, with frequent travel to Brisbane.
As a key player in the company's leadership team, you will play an integral part of the expanding Intrepid Retail joint venture with Flight Centre. The primary aim of this role will be to oversee the effective execution of the Intrepid Retail marketing strategy, thereby dramatically increasing enquiries. A key focus will be the new myadventurestore.com retail web tool, amongst other online strategies.
Reporting to the Intrepid Retail Business Leader, the role's responsibilities include:
- Producing and implementing an annual marketing plan that provides the focus, direction and program required to achieve the objectives for the brand;
- Working with the online marketing team to ensure that the direction and functionality of the Intrepid Retail website (myadventurestore.com) is consistent with the brand and generates required enquiry levels;
- Ensuring that all brand communication is consistent with brand standards and ensures brand integrity;
- Ensuring the execution of relevant and timely campaigns for the brand, and working with Product Nation and external partners to raise cooperative marketing dollars to fund these campaigns;
- Working on a consulting basis with stores to assist in local marketing activities; and
- Maintaining and maximising preferred supplier relationships on a national level.
This is a high level management role in an exciting, competitive industry, with responsibilities including the effective national marketing of the company's brand, so the successful applicant will require tertiary qualifications in Marketing (or an equivalent field) as well as substantial experience working in marketing, with extensive experience in designing and executing marketing plans and online marketing. Your must have a background within Retail marketing, but experience in the Travel industry is not essential! The ability to develop, implement and monitor budgets is important.
This role will suit a motivated and self-sufficient applicant with experience in meeting deadlines and managing projects in a similar fast-paced work environment. You will largely be working unsupervised, so you need to demonstrate a high level of autonomy and excellent attention to detail, with accompanying excellent written and verbal communication skills.
