About the Opportunity
Metcon has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join their growing team in Concord, located only 30 minutes north of Toronto.
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and closing of multiple projects.
More specifically, some of the roles' duties and responsibilities will include:
- Building and managing project requirements and meeting constraints;
- Creating clear and attainable project objectives;
- Generating shop drawings, ordering equipment, and coordinating and meeting deadlines; and
- Working with contractors and consulting engineers.
For this role, Metcon is seeking a candidate who has an Electrical or Instrumentation background along with project management experience. The successful applicant will possess a P.Eng designation or have a strong technical background.
This role is ideal for an individual with an Instrumentation or combined electrical and mechanical engineering background.
Process control, instrumentation, or electrical experience in managing multiple projects is preferred but not essential. An experienced engineer is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply. So if you have the relevant technical skills and background we'd love to hear from you!
Metcon is looking for an individual who has the ability to follow and generate electrical drawings. The ideal candidate will also be an excellent team player and communicator who is proficient in the use of computer software packages, including AutoCAD. In addition, you will have a high customer service focus and well-developed communication and organizational skills.
