About the Opportunity
Sunnyhaven is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Program Supervisor to join their passionate residential services team, based in Kogarah in Sydney.
Managing the operations of residential group homes, the role responsibilities encompass tasks within the areas of Client Services, Administration, Team Development and Service Development.
More specifically, some of your daily contributions will include:
- Developing systems to provide effective client service;
- Working effectively with a range of stakeholders including ADHC, other government agencies, specialist support services and families of service users;
- Delivering and evaluating relevant training for staff;
- Collating information, analysing and preparing reports; and
- Managing program and staff expenses within the given financial parameters and budgets.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree or diploma within the Disability, Community or Human Services field and a minimum of 6 years experience in community services, including a minimum of 3 years experience in middle management.
Your qualifications and experience will be supported by comprehensive knowledge of the sector including relevant legislation and standards as well as successful management of disability residential programs.
In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal communication skills including a capacity for presentation, negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution.
Your demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor staff in a community services environment will be consolidated by a knowledge of ethical work practices, Disability Service Standards, EEO and OH&S.
A current NSW Driver's Licence and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite are essential for this position.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be available to be 'on call' outside normal hours and be willing to work across services (between day and residential programs).
In return for your dedication, you will be rewarded with attractive remuneration circa $56,000 with salary sacrificing opportunities available. Fringe benefits will also increase your disposable salary (after tax) by approximately $4,500. A company car (negotiable) will be offered for the right candidate.
