About the Opportunity

The Leukaemia Foundation has an exciting opportunity for a full time Transport and Accommodation Scheduler to join their friendly team in Artarmon, Sydney. 

In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of the Sydney patient transport and accommodation services.

Specifically, some of your duties will include:

  • Handling calls and other requests to book, allocate and coordinate daily patient transport and ensuring they are all scheduled, documented and disseminated;
  • Assisting in the training of volunteer drivers and maintaining training records;
  • Implementing current accommodation policies and procedures including bookings, billing and maintenance requirements;
  • Maintaining Support Services Excel and Telemagic databses where appropriate;
  • Assisting in advertising for, recruiting and training volunteer drivers; and
  • Liaising and working with relevant stakeholders and contacts as required.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in a transport scheduling/logistics role as well as a good knowledge of the Sydney metropolitan area. You will have the experience and maturity to deal with people living with a serious illness as well as a professional approach to the practice and delivery of services.

In addition, you will require a high level of computer literacy, specifically in the Microsoft Office Suite and experience in operating databases.

You will be an innovative team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills as well as a current NSW driver's licence.

Ideally, you will understand the principles of volunteer programs and housing services, and have the flexibility to be available for occasional work/travel outside normal working hours.
