About the Organisation
HCE Engineers is a medium-sized civil engineering consultancy that provides a personalised and cost-effective service to its clients. The range of projects tackled is diverse, ranging from minor infill developments to major infrastructure projects of national significance.
‘Landmark’ projects for which HCE Engineers have recently provided consultancy services include: The Inner City Bypass, The Northern Busway and Soliel Apartments. However, these larger projects represent only a portion of their custom. HCE also work for large and small developers in areas of urban development including land subdivision, office and industrial buildings, shopping centres, apartment buildings, child care centres and the like.
Based in A-Grade offices in Gateway Office Park at the base of the Gateway Bridge in Murarrie, HCE's team is comprised of 27 Civil and Environmental Engineers, Designers, CAD Operators and Support Staff.
About the Opportunity
HCE Engineers is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Civil Engineer/Civil Works Supervisor to assist with projects undertaken by their Construction Team, based at Murarrie in Brisbane.
Functioning within a supervisory role, you will inspect on-site construction operations and completed work.
Some of your more specific duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Administering construction contracts;
- Preparing progress payment certificates;
- Managing preparation of as constructed drawings;
- Collating quality records; and
- Liaising with stakeholders and clients.
The successful applicant will hold a degree in Engineering or possess an equivalent amount (10+ years) of experience in Engineering, Civil Construction or Site Supervision.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be liaising with a variety of clients and stakeholders therefore strong problem solving skills and excellent communication and teamwork skills are a must.
Additionally, you will require an excellent grasp of engineering and design principles, an awareness of the environmental impact of design ideas and an understanding of business processes and their impact on profitability.
In return for your dedication, you will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration circa $75,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with qualifications and experience) plus super.
