About the Opportunity
Due to a continued period of growth, a fantastic opportunity now exists for a full-time Project Manager to join Probuild (NT) Pty Ltd's dynamic team, starting immediately in Alice Springs, NT.
Working on a variety of projects across Central Australia, you will be responsible for the management of all aspects of projects and work undertaken.
Some of your specific duties will include:
- Creating and executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements;
- Identifying resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities;
- Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope;
- Reviewing deliverables prepared by team before passing to client;
- Effectively applying methodology and enforcing project standards;
- Preparing for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures;
- Minimising exposure and risk on project; and
- Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
This is a pivotal, hands-on role that ensures all projects are completed on time and within a budget. Accordingly, strong organisation, coordination and communication skills as well as an eye for detail are essential.
Probuild (NT) Pty Ltd is seeking candidates who have a construction background and experience in managing and executing projects up to $10 M with a dedicated work history (minimum of 5 years experience) demonstrating excellent project delivery skills, supported by industry references.
Candidates will need to have the ability to work equally effectively in a team environment and autonomously with the natural ability to lead and drive project operations to meet time constraints.
Additionally, you will require a high level of interpersonal skills as you work closely with senior management, suppliers, clients and subcontractors. It is also essential that you are able to manage all contractual obligations, contract variations and progress claims.
It is a requirement of the role that you are competent with computers. You will need a sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Project. Whilst not essential, experience with Buildsoft (estimating program) and Cheops (accountancy program) is preferable.
