Advanced Training International Inc (ATI) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) since 1996 who has achieved Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) status. ATI provides for the flexibility of delivery within its training services to help meet the needs and changing conditions of Industry and Commerce and those that desire to succeed in their chosen field of employment throughout the Northern Territory and beyond.
About the Opportunity
If you're an experienced tradesperson looking to pass on your knowledge, an opportunity exists for a 2 Trainers (Electrical & Refrigeration / Airconditioning) to work at ATI's Winnellie office in Darwin.
The primary focus of the role is the delivery of high-quality training to new apprentices in the Electrotechnology programs, incorporating Electrical and Refrigeration & Air conditioning.
More specifically, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Training and assessment of students, including face-to-face delivery, on and off the job facilitation and individual coaching / mentoring;
- Liaising with the Training Manager in relation to programming issues, workshop classrooms and vehicles;
- Assisting with the maintenance of effective reporting and administrative procedures;
- Assisting the Electrotech Coordinator in resource development and equipment maintenance; and
- Carrying out training and assessment in remote locations, as required.
A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment would be an advantage, though not essential. Most importantly, you will be a highly experienced, trade certified electrician and/or refrigeration & air-conditioning person, with the passion and commitment required to inspire the next generation of tradespeople. If you don't currently hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, ATI will provide you with the required training to obtain this qualification.
To be suitable for the position, you must have a current driver's licence, combined with current police check documentation. In addition, a teaching background would be highly desirable while computer literacy is essential.
