About the Opportunity

Kinder Caring has a defining opportunity for an empathetic and dedicated Registered Nurse to become Healthcare Coordinator of their welcoming team, operating out of the Sydney CBD.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, it will be your responsibility to develop and maintain strong relationships in the community. In addition, you will also oversee the Kinder Caring staff to ensure they're providing quality, safe and exceptional care to the organisation's clients.

Some of your more specific duties will include:

  • Assessing the initial and ongoing needs of clients and developing a suitable care plan;
  • Liaising with discharge planners, the medical team and allied health professionals to maintain an effective business relationship;
  • Visiting clients and carers on the job and providing constructive feedback;
  • Evaluating or reassessing the clients on a quarterly basis to update their care plans;
  • Acting as a facilitator between the Kinder Caring office and staff, families, healthcare providers and clients to improve communications within the company;
  • Becoming actively involved in  marketing and promoting the business and improving customer satisfaction; and
  • Ensuring all care staff are cognisant of their roles and responsibilities.

This senior role requires a qualified Registered Nurse, with a background in residential and community nursing. You will also have solid experience in clinical assessment and case management content, while a background in aged care would be advantageous.

You will need to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, along with the ability to work as part of a team, and to communicate effectively with clients, family, staff and other health professionals. Your conceptual and critical thinking skills will be used often, as will your commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Due to the nature of this position your ability to exercise tact, discretion, empathy and integrity will be vital to your success, while an open and flexible attitude is essential. You will also need to be able build rapport with both clients and carers.
