About the Opportunity

Environmental and Licensing Professionals (ELP) has a fantastic opportunity available for a dedicated Tenement Officer/Manager to join their friendly team in Brisbane CBD.

Reporting to the Group Manager, Licensing, you will be providing clients throughout Australia with services in licensing and approvals for both exploration and mining. You'll be assisting clients through a number of phases from early exploration through to mining and surrender, while ensuring their main assets are always in good standing.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include:

  • Interpreting relevant legislation and departmental processes;
  • Preparing and lodging of tenement applications;
  • Liaising with clients and government agencies;
  • Preparing a variety of tenements administration including renewal applications, variation requests, notices of entry and others;
  • Scoping and detailing approval processes and strategies;
  • Assessing availability of land and lodging applications;
  • Using the computerised monitoring system to provide clients with updates;
  • Conducting due diligence audits; and
  • Preparing Environmental Authority applications.

The successful applicant must have experience in the tenement management process and have knowledge of the relevant legislation associated with this. Although tertiary qualifications (environment) would be highly regarded, they are not essential.

As you are liaising with a wide range of people, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as is a flexible approach and professional manner. You will be a team player with the ability to manage projects autonomously and will ideally have some experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
