Nganampa Health Council has a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Services Manager to join their dedicated senior management team.
Based in Alice Springs, with regular travel to the Anangu Pitjanjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in the remote north of South Australia, you will essentially be responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of the Nganampa Health Council Alice Springs offices and Alice Springs based corporate support services.
You will oversee the management of a number of the organisation's key corporate functions, systems and services including the Patient Assisted Transport Scheme (PATS), client transport and support services, the Hospital Liaison team, procurement and supply systems, Human Resources, finance and insurances.
Some of your more specific responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
Nganampa Health Council is looking for an experienced Finance Manager with a background in managing accounting systems and significant experience in a financial management role. Considerable experience in preparing financial and other reports, contract negotiation, contract management and data management is essential, combined with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Economics.
You will need to be well practiced in supervising, mentoring and training staff, and have demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating programs in the human services. Your management skills will extend to the capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines and being accurate, goal-oriented and flexible. What's more, you'll need to be highly computer literate, particularly with relevant accounting and other software packages.
You must be able to communicate and participate effectively within a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary and complex team setting. Candidates who have an interest in working within an Aboriginal community controlled organisation will be best suited to this role, while previous experience working with Aboriginal people or in a remote setting is preferred.
The successful candidate must be willing to undergo a Police Check prior to commencement. A manual driver's licence is also required for this position and it would be advantageous to have experience with 4WD vehicles, although a 2 day 4WD training course is provided in your orientation week.
