About the Opportunity
Topdeck is currently seeking a number of Coach Drivers to join their dynamic team in Europe.
The company is looking for enthusiastic, people-focused individuals, who have a passion for travel and the desire to give a group of passengers the "Trip of a Lifetime".
As a Coach Driver, your role is to make sure clients are transported safely and comfortably around all the wonderful cities and sights in Europe. The successful candidates will need to be prepared for a challenge. In addition, you will be a natural team-player and essentially commitment-free - so you are able to travel around Europe at the drop of a sun-hat.
Working closely with a Topdeck Trip Leader, you will earn money and enjoy the company of a coach-load of young travellers who are up for the holiday of a lifetime.
Applicants should meet the following criteria to be considered for a position:
- Candidates must be in possession of (or be able to obtain) a UK or European passport;
- Have sound references and a clean driving record;
- Have experience driving Heavy Vehicles;
- Possess (or be able to obtain) a UK or European Class "D" PCV coach driving license (for coaches with manual gearbox) and a Digital Tachograph Driver card (Note - if you do not have a PCV coach licence and Driver card, but are a confident and competent driver, Topdeck can advise and assist you in obtaining one prior to commencing training)
- Be willing to be based in the Netherlands for the duration of the driving season.
Successful candidates will participate in a 6-week Training Trip in early April 2012 in order to prepare them for the role of Coach Driver.
Throughout this period you will be driving around the most popular of European destinations, conducting city driving tours, making "Route Notes", and learning the legalities of driving in Europe.
All coaches are left-hand drive vehicles and are based in the Netherlands. You will be required to obtain a Dutch Medical Certificate in order to drive - this will be arranged at the start of the training program. Crew are expected to make a commitment of at least two summer seasons.
