About the Opportunity
Kingfisher Bay Resort Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Rooms Division Manager to join its welcoming team in the breathtaking Fraser Island location.
The primary aim of this role is to utilise your front office experience to provide an outstanding level of supervision to the housekeeping, staff planning and front office teams and ensure all guests receive a high level of customer service for the duration of their stay.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Monitor and control all Front Line services, delivering consistency in guest service standards, in coordination with the General Manager;
- Continuously review business processes, systems, procedures, department costs and service levels in order to enhance productivity and performance of the property;
- Set and manage Budgets for Rooms Division departments;
- Manage costs associated with Room Division operations;
- Liaise with Reservation, Sales and Marketing and Engineering on aspects concerning Rooms Division operations;
- Manage room stock and available rooms, and property owners within the resort;
- Be pro-active in annual Body Corporate events, resort events and resort meeting and training sessions;
- Host visiting family groups, media and VIP’s;
- Respond to guest complaints ensuring a satisfactory outcome. disseminate feedback to the relevant departments; and
- Weekly and monthly reporting for the Executive Committee.
The role is ideal for a candidate with experience in Rooms Division and Front Office Management, who is looking to take the next step in their career and who can lead and motivate a number of teams effectively. You will be able to stay calm in stressful situations and patiently assist and advise on all guest enquiries.
You will be an honest, industrious and team-orientated individual with a positive can do attitude, and a strong work ethic. Most importantly you will need to bring your passion for customer service and the skills required to drive a team of Guest Service Agents to achieve objectives.
