About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth, Macfarlane Generators has an exciting opportunity for an motivated Electrical Field Installation & Service Technician to join its Clayton South team.
Based at the new premises, you'll be providing good service as well as performing all field installation and service work within the Renewable Energy team safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Renewable Energy Manager, this is a perfect role for a customer-minded Electrician with the ability to work autonomously and plan their day according to a service schedule.
Within this varied role, some of your more specific responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining appropriate paper work in an accurate manner;
- Maintaining a Personal Tool Kit with necessary electrical meters;
- Installation of Solar Panels, Battery Banks and back up Generator systems;
- Providing quality customer service to clients in a courteous manner; and
- Informing the Manager as needed on any relevant issues/items requiring attention.
This role would suit a practical Electrician with the ability to manage their own workload and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
To be successful, you'll require an 'A' Grade Electrical Workers Licence with electrical experience on Inverter Control Systems and a knowledge of power testing/proving. You'll also require a strong mechanical aptitude to enable you to undertake the mechanical installation of Solar Panels, Battery Banks and back up Generator Systems.
As this position require customer contact both face-to-face and on the phone, you will be well presented and attired at all times with the ability to assist customers as needed in a cheerful and cooperative manner. In addition you will require basic computer skills with the ability to maintain Test/Check sheets and write reports.
A Manual driver's licence is essential.
