Centacare Brisbane, is one of the largest providers of community care services in Queenland with a range of services including employment services, child care, pastoral ministries, disability services, aged care, family counselling, mental health and programs for people who are marginalised or at risk of homelessness. Collectively the organisation delivers services that address the needs of over 38 thousand people living in South East Queensland on a weekly basis and is assisted through in excess of 2500 staff.
Centacare North East Community Care promotes independence and well being of people who are frail aged, younger with a disability and their carers through supportive community initiatives. The Service receives funding through the Home and Community Care Program, Veterans Homecare Program and National Respite for Carers to provide a range of services.

About the Role
Centacare North East Community Care has a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Community Program/Quality Manager to join their dynamic and innovative team based at Northgate on a full time basis.
Reporting to the Service Manager and the Quality Assurance & Training Manager, your role will focus on the assessment, coordination and monitoring of the support needs of frail older people and people with disabilities and their carers, referred to the Home and Community Care and National Respite for Carers program.
As the Community Program and Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision of the Care Coordinator, Program Coordinator VHC, Activities Officer, Food Services, Community Support Workers in home and Centre Based Respite.
More specifically, some of your duties will include:
- Planning and supervision of the Centre-based Respite and Community Programs;
- Being an active member of the management team to ensure the effectiveness and suitability of the quality management system;
- Actively supervising subordinates, including interviewing, training and directing;
- Assisting organisational sustainability through ensuring that service standards, policies and procedures are compliant with relevant government and Centacare legislation and standards;
- Overseeing the various compliance and accreditation requirements;
- Assisting with designing, reviewing and managing systems for the documentation of quality improvement;
- Identifying and addressing new policies or procedures/protocols in a timely fashion; and
- Ensuring all resources are used according to Service protocol, and identifying training requirements and faulty equipment immediately.
To be successful in this role you will be working towards or possess a tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Sciences or a related field, and will have several years experience in the delivery of services to the Aged Care and Disability sector.
In this role, it is essential that you are familiar with the National Service Standards of Community Care Funding, through HACC, Department of Communities, Commonwealth and Ageing and the Department of Veterans Affairs. A demonstrated understanding of Quality Improvement Principles, and Workplace Health and Safety requirements is also required.
You will possess a high level of management, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, and will thus have proven abilities in managing a team of staff and volunteers, documenting client assessments and case notes, and fostering collaboration and commitment. Demonstrated computer literacy, specifically in MS Office/Professional, email and accounting and data collection software is also a must.
To be considered, you will need a clean, current C class QLD Driver's Licence, along with physical fitness to carry out the duties listed, and a Senior First Aid / CPR Certificate, National Police Check and a Disability Services Queensland Positive Notice Card.
