About the Opportunity

Australia’s leading lighting retailer, Beacon Lighting, has exciting immediate opportunities for experienced retail supervisors and sales professionals to join their management team in Alexandria, Artarmon, Belrose and Hornsby. 

In these exciting positions, you will utilise your previous sales experience to generate profitable sales through applying excellent product knowledge, selling skills and customer service, whilst undertaking additional responsibilities and development activities to learn our business

Reporting to the Store Manager, some of your main duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting customers to select merchandise appropriate to their needs by providing professional service that is knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and efficient;
  • Ensuring all stock is presented in accordance with our merchandising standards;
  • Completing all reporting and administration tasks accurately; and
  • Assisting the Store Manager to ensure that the store is adequately resourced with knowledgeable and service orientated staff, promotional activity is supported and stock levels are well managed.

The successful applicants will be joining a business renowned for providing excellent training, both during induction and through ongoing development programs. In this role you will be supported in completing the Management Induction Program and Retail Management Certificate IV readying you for the duties and responsibilities of your management role within this growing organisation. You will be required to undertake additional learning activities, which may involve some travel, work in other locations and assignment work..

Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will be essential in this role, as you will be required to liaise with customers, colleagues and external suppliers on a day-to-day basis. Previous experience working with an electrical home-maker store or electrical wholesaler or sales oriented position would be an advantage.

You will be a customer-focused individual with an interest in retail management, passion for sales and a willingness to learn! Your retail knowledge, sound merchandising ability and drive to continually improve your knowledge, skills and experience will be essential to your success.

As this role may require heavy lifting, climbing ladders and standing for prolonged periods it is important that you are physically fit.
