About the Opportunity
Due to their continued expansion, Patrick has exciting opportunities for experienced Mechanical Reliability Engineers to join their dynamic engineering teams. With opportunities available in both Fremantle and Brisbane, you'll be joining an innovative project involving the automation of a plant.
More specifically, you'll be responsible for all mechanical aspects of the terminal.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, some of your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Mechanical and structural project work on stevedoring plant, including capital upgrades and purchases;
- Mechanical Reliability Engineering;
- Development of maintenance activities on stevedoring plant;
- Management of Structural audits on stevedoring plant;
- Contractor management;
- Day to day liaison with contractors for execution of activities; and
- Provide mechanical engineering support to operations and tradesman.
To be successful, you'll possess a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (reconized in Australia) along with several years demonstrated experience. In these roles, it is essential that you possess significant heavy engineering works experience.
The ideal candidates will have a hands-on approach to engineering, and a passion for engineering that encompasses a wide range of activities.
You'll have a strong safety focus, along with exceptional fault finding, analytical and organisational skills. In addition, you'll possess high computer literacy and well developed verbal and written communication skills.
Although not essential, structural, rotating or mobile plant experience will be highly regarded.
Importantly, you'll have a thirst for learning and working with the latest technology!
