About the Opportunity
West Moreton Anglican College has an exciting opportunity for a full time Administrative Assistant (Risk & Compliance) to join their dedicated team located only minutes from Ipswich.
Reporting to the Principal of the College, through the Deputy Principal and Business Manager, you will work across all sectors of the College in the coordination and monitoring of legal compliance matters and policy development. This will include providing administrative assistance with the development and maintenance of a risk management framework for the College and the professional review and development of policies and procedures.
More specifically, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Assisting with the development, implementation and maintenance of risk management, reporting and compliance software;
- Managing data entry onto the College’s risk management software, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM);
- Assisting with the management and maintenance of compliance requirements and processes for the College;
- Liaising with relevant statutory bodies and government departments on requirements and standards, including ISV;
- Establishing and maintaining the contracts, leasing and insurance database and the contractors’ database and assisting with the implementation of the contractors’ induction and approval process;
- Providing confidential administrative support to the Deputy Principal, Business Manager and Facilities Manager on a daily basis;
- Maintaining College Policies Register, Professional Review and Training registers;
- Preparing the agenda, reports, follow-up correspondence and filing of all information for the Risk Management Group; and
- Assisting with the maintenance of a risk management framework for the College.
The successful applicant will have a Certificate IV or Diploma of Business Administration, coupled with advanced skills in Microsoft Office, desktop publishing and database management and proficiency in Enterprise Risk Management software (or similar). You'll need proven experience in providing confidential support to Senior Management and demonstrated efficiency and experience in conducting general office procedures.
To succeed, you'll require experience and technical knowledge in OH&S, compliance and risk management, and administrative and technical experience in work flow management, information handling, meeting and committee support and professional development and staff support. You'll possess a commitment to accuracy and detail and impeccable record-keeping skills, and will have a working knowledge and understanding of legal compliance and policy development, preferably within a school environment.

Additionally, you'll have exceptional interpersonal, public relation and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and positively with a diversity of personnel.
