About the Organisation

On the outside, Sanitarium may seem like just another food company. But on the inside, they're a lot more than that. They're a group of people who believe passionately in the potential of every Australian and their potential to be healthy: physically, mentally and emotionally. They believe this journey all begins with good nutrition, because what you feed your body and your mind, changes the way you feel.

It's often said that Sanitarium changed Australia's eating habits; they were the first to introduce healthy and innovative breakfast foods and soy foods. In caring for the health and wellbeing of all Australians, they have created great breakfast cereal foods, soymilks, spreads and healthy vegetarian foods. They love using natural, wholesome foods to offer you the best of nature’s goodness and flavours.

Some of Australia's greatest heroes and sporting legends eat Weet-Bix every day, and millions of Australians get the energy they need to power through their own busy lives. But there's a lot more to Sanitarium besides being Australia's number 1 selling breakfast cereal.  Caring about the community is a core value of Sanitarium and their employees.

About Lake Macquarie

The first impression of Lake Macquarie that surprises most people is its immense size. As one of Australia's largest coastal saltwater lakes, Lake Macquarie has been a popular sailing spot as well as a great holiday destination for many years.

Surrounded by beautiful beaches, mountains, and the ocean, the city of Lake Macquarie is the fastest growing city in the Hunter, and one of the largest cities in New South Wales, with a population that is fast approaching 200,000. Cooranbong is on the very southern part of Lake Macquarie, about a 45 minute drive from Newcastle and 30 minutes from the Central Coast.

Lake Macquarie's natural playground allows bushwalking, picnicking, camping, and abseiling in the Watagan Mountains; surfing or fishing on any of the beaches; and waterskiing, sailing, or fishing on the lake plus much more!
